Having a friend who was a victim of Direct’s direct buy scam, I would have to warn you against ordering the direct service. Below is a writeup submitted by my friend who is very unhappy with his Direct tv service and wishes he did not buy it.

What is Direct Satellie TV? a Direct scam is what we call it now. It’s a direct buy scam where the satellite TV service tricks you into buying television “direct” from their dish technology. They claim the direct satellite signal will deliver the best, clearest service to their members. They claim that you’ll get all of the channels you want, but what they don’t tell you is about the scam operation they have running at Direct TV. Do not buy direct, trust me.

I’m not familiar with direct tv or other satellite companies. I’ve always used cable. But I know that the pc software that I bought is not good and does not deliver good satellite signals.

When I first bought my Direct tv PC software I was very pleased. For those of you who don’t know what direct satellite tv pc software is, it is a PC software that claims to deliver crystal clear picture if you buy from them directly. It is a direct buy scam. The company (forget their name now and I hope to never remember it again) would not answer my calls when my pc software stopped working after a few weeks. Now, I’m left with a useless piece of software and no direct tv.

Directly buying satellite tv is the best route you can go. Don’t look for some direct buy scam where a PC software claims to be able to deliver satellite tv technology. Trust a company like Direct TV that will provide satellite TV technology. Or, consider a cable company that will probably deliver better.

When buying cable or satellite tv, it’s best to go with a direct buy from a trusted company like Direct TV or Comcast or Time Warner Cable.
